*JOB TITLE: ICFL Assistant *
*LOCATION: Southeast Campus *
*DESCRIPTION: *
Under the general supervision of the ICFL Program Director, the ICFL Assistant provides proper supervision, academic tutoring, and overall care to students after school hours.
Assist in the execution of program curriculum created by ICFL Director.
Implement goals and objectives established by the program director and works directly with other staff members to provide daily activities and enrichment to children.
*ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but are not limited to):*
* Prepare instructional materials.
* Foster academic growth through group and individual instruction based on curriculum and individual student needs.
* Complete attendance reports; etc.
* Check and assist with homework.
* Monitor and supervise student activities.
* Escort students to ensure safety at all times.
* Perform related work as required.
* Demonstrate respect for students, colleagues, administrators, and parents.
* Model and reinforce self-discipline and responsibility.
* Work effectively with school colleagues, parents, and the community to support student learning objectives and well-being.
* Performs other related duties as required.

*QUALIFICATIONS: *
*Qualifications: Required *
* Associates Degree in related field.
* 1-year experience working with children
* Understanding and knowledge of child development.
*PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS *
* Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
*PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS *
The physical requirements indicated below are examples of the physical aspects that this position must perform in carrying out the essential functions of the position.
*Physical Demands:* Walk, look downward, turn neck (up to continuously) sit, bend, (frequently); stand, stoop, squat, reach, push, pull, (Occasionally; kneel, crawl.
Climb (infrequently); grasp/manipulate materials & supplies (continuously); lift items to 20 pounds (frequently), carry to 30 pounds
(occasionally), lift/carry to 50 pounds (infrequently); use seeing, hearing and speaking (continuously).
*Working Conditions:* Employee works part time daily from 2:30 - 6:30 pm and adjusted hours as directed by the Campus Director or ICFL Program Director.
Indoor offices and classrooms, exposure to: student noise and music, odors of food and science projects, possible communicable diseases or unruly students.
Outdoor schoolyard and grounds, exposure to; temperatures, dust, pesticides and smoke (seasonally).
The employee will be exposed to parents exhibiting socially unacceptable personal behaviors.
The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions, and may be subject to occasional local travel as required by facility needs.
