Kensington Garden Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is seeking a skilled and motivated Director of Maintenance to join the team!

The Director of Maintenance will oversee the maintenance and upkeep of all physical aspects of the facility including service of electrical, plumbing, fire alarm and mechanical systems, maintenance of equipment, physical plant, utilities, and grounds.
Director of Maintenance Responsibilities:
· Coordinates and ensures compliance with local, state, and federal building codes, SDS, OSHA, EPA, CMS, regulations, and fire codes
· Manage a team of maintenance technicians and contractors to ensure timely and effective completion of work orders, preventive maintenance schedules, and emergency repairs
· Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and expenditures
· Identify opportunities for improvement in maintenance processes, procedures, and equipment
· Develop and manage maintenance budgets, including capital expenditures and cost-saving initiatives
· Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards for equipment and infrastructure maintenance
· Coordinates engineering contractors/vendors, assuring insurance and licenses are current
· Conducts regular inspections of life safety systems, including fire extinguishers, fire alarms system and sprinkler systems
· Oversees necessary repairs and maintenance in rooms and common areas including refurbishment for move-ins
· Ensures the outside of the property is maintained, including landscaping, and garbage/trash removal
· Maintains inventory control for all general supplies, parts and equipment for necessary repairs and maintenance
Director of Maintenance Qualifications:
· 5+ years’ experience in supervisory positions in Environmental Services, Plant Operations or Maintenance within a healthcare facility
· Strong technical knowledge of equipment and infrastructure maintenance
· Thorough understanding of OSHA, NFPA and EPA regulations as they pertain to facility operation and maintenance in nursing care facilities
· Extensive knowledge of building systems such as plumbing, electrical, and HVAC
· Ability to identify issues and determine repairs and maintenance schedules for building systems
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
· Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards
