Position Summary
The Senior Director of Educational Services is responsible for overseeing the overall effectiveness and integrity of AMIkids educational success, meeting youth educational goals and contract requirements.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to enrollment, budget, data management and analysis, and assisting in the organization, design, and development of the strategic direction for all AMIkids Education and Workforce Development Services.
Essential Job Duties
Oversee the ongoing growth and effectiveness, integrity, and fidelity of AMIkids overall educational and vocational approach(es),
Provide leadership to the Education Liaison Specialist and Programs,
Maintain agreements and grow alternative educational opportunities through partnership with stakeholders to secure vocational grants/contracts/opportunities from local, district, state, and federal levels, sharing AMIkids educational strategies, benefits, and outcomes,
Lead educational implementation and ensure parties are trained to launch secured vocational opportunities,
Collaborate with district and state curriculum supervisors to assist program-based administration in analyzing data relating to continuous improvement of student services,
Develop, implement, and monitor education & workforce development strategic plan,
Oversee federal funding and Home Office education services budgets,
Ensure educational components of the Personal Growth Model (PGM) are satisfied,
Identify target markets and gain a comprehensive understanding of the challenges faced (i.
e.
, demographics, education trends, funding, key influencers, etc.
),
Evaluate Programs for effectiveness, compliance, financial management and overall safety; adjust as necessary,
Secure and/or Design and implement innovative and diverse educational and vocational programs,
Lead, provide ongoing feedback and develop direct reports,
Serve as organizational liaison to a variety of economic and workforce training agencies, employer partner organizations, and other state, local and university committees as appropriate
Present at conferences, seminars, legislative sessions, and other forums on topics related to education, at-risk youth, evidence-based practices, etc.
Build a reputation as an expert on alternative educational approach,
Interpret and forecast changes in educational funding formulas; maintain thorough understanding of state education finance programs and federal allocations,
Write, develop, and negotiate contracts with school districts and other educational partners in alignment with all applicable laws and funding mechanisms,
Maintain currency in educational reforms (state and federal) and forecast the implications of these reform efforts,
Minimum Education, Training and Experience
Master’s degree in secondary education, educational leadership, or other related educational fields,
Minimum of 7 years related experience (e.
g.
, teacher, curriculum development, accountability, and assessment and/or educational administrator,
Successful leadership skills,
Detailed knowledge of state and federal educational laws, policies, and trends,
Effective communication skills (written, verbal and presentation),
Ability to lead and influence others,
Strong team player: ability to collaborate with professionals in a variety of other fields focused on the growth and success of students,
Successful experience selling and implementing a new concept/program,
Experience in analyzing and interpreting data to evaluate Program teacher and educational leader effectiveness,
Experience providing alternative educational opportunities for at-risk/troubled youth preferred,
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook),
Knowledge of current and evolving technology in the field of education,
Monitor and analyze trends and respond by developing training opportunities to address the evolving needs of the organization and professional development of education Team Members,
Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task,
Strength in finding solutions; adjusting priorities and compromising while supporting the goals of AMIkids,
