Description
Under the supervision of the Empath Adult Day Center Director, oversees and manages the daily clinical operations of the Empath Adult Day Center including operations of the day center, clinic, social work, rehabilitation, recreation, and dietary.
This includes ensuring that appropriate personnel are trained and perform their functions within the organization.
Duties include assuring that operational standards and budgetary criteria are met.
As well as ensuring operations are following all governing regulations.
General duties and responsibilities:
Coordinate and facilitate center activities including care planning and implementation, preparation for interdisciplinary/daily meeting, family conferences and related follow up.
Responsible for management and supervision of all disciplines to include RN’s, Therapists, Dietary, Activities, MSW’s and Program Assistants, when they are working in the center.
Completes all documentation in the medical record as required.
Serves as liaison between individual program disciplines, other between administration and direct care staff.
Works with Director to manage the Adult Day Center’s budget.
Assist staff in coordination of activities related to the participant enrollment process, including the assessment and care plan review meetings.
In conjunction with the Director, is responsible for maintaining compliance with all state and federal program requirements, obtaining and maintain certification as required by VA and managed care agencies, as well as any other state or federal law or rules.
Assists in development and implementation of Empath Health Adult Day Centers operational policies, procedures, protocols and regulations for direct participant care and support services.
Monitor’s operations to ensure consistent compliance with established quality assurance standards.
Assists Director with evaluation of Adult Day Center performance against national results and established service standards, budget and other financial criteria.
Recommends changes in service delivery and staffing as required by the development and growth of the agency.
In conjunction with the Director maintains the stability and reputation of Empath Adult Day Centers by ensuring that all activities and operations are performed in compliance with local, state, and federal contracts, regulations, laws, accreditation, protocol, licensing, and certification requirements governing Adult Day Center operations.
Monitors Empath Adult Day Center operational compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations and agency policies and procedures.
Protects privacy and maintains confidentiality of all company procedures, results, and information about, employees, participant, clients, or families.
Participates in continuing education classes and any required staff and training meetings.
Maintains professional affiliations and any required certifications.
Provides administrative on-call coverage.
Position Requirements:
Graduate of a school of professional nursing program required.
Bachelor of Science Registered Nursing (BSRN) strongly preferred.
A minimum of five (5) years of health care experience, and three (3) years of management experience, preferably in a geriatric care setting required.
A minimum of one year’s experience in working with the frail or elderly population.
Current Florida Registered Nurses License and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required.
Must have medical clearance for communicable diseases and up-to-date immunizations before having direct participant contact.
Must have a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and have means of transportation.
