Description:
MTC is seeking to hire a temporary, part-time Grant Writer.
The position will be 25-hours per week.
The Grant Writer's responsibilities will include:
Coordinate all aspects of grants management and administration, including scheduling, tracking, (internal and external) reporting, record-keeping and fulfillment, in concert with appropriate/relevant leadership, business/finance and program staff.
Prepare and submit grant applications and reports in a timely manner to meet funder guidelines/deadlines, including routing to appropriate MTC staff for input/approval/editing.
Maintain records of all current and prospective grantors and funding partners.
Report on all grant-related activities on a schedule/in a format to be determined with the Director of Development.
Determine, monitor and report on progress toward grant revenue goal.
Research, evaluate and recommend funding opportunities with prospective corporate, foundation, and government grants.
Work closely with leadership, program and development staff to identify and prioritize funding needs, identify prospective funding sources and develop/deliver proposals to meet those needs.
Support leadership and fundraising staff in funder cultivation and relationship management.
Demonstrate ability to work effectively as a team member and project leader.
Perform additional duties as required.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree with experience in grant writing and fundraising required.
Experience with computers and Microsoft Office Suite are a must.
Familiarity with people with developmental disabilities is a plus.
Ability to work a flexible schedule depending on business needs.
